Most removal firms belong to one city and treat a London to Birmingham job as a long day out. We have our operations yard in Coleshill, a registered office in Erdington and a London unit on Groombridge Crescent in E9, and our London Groupage service runs between the Midlands and London twice a week. The route is routine for us, which is why it's written on the side of our vans.

It's roughly 120 miles by road, on the M40 or the M1 depending on where you start and finish, and a household removal is carried out on the same day unless we agree otherwise in writing.

It works in both directions. We move people from London to Birmingham and from Birmingham to London, and to and from the towns along the M1, M6 and M40 in between.

From £50 an hour in London and £40 an hour in Birmingham. For a long-distance job, ask us whether we can cap the hours or agree a fixed price.

Things that matter on a London to Birmingham move

  1. 01

    Empty-journey discounts

Vans often come back empty from long-distance jobs. If your dates are flexible, ask about discounted rates on empty return or empty outward journeys.

  2. 02

    Access at the London end

Some London streets need a parking suspension or have controlled bays, so tell us about access when you ask for a quote. Tolls and parking charges are the only things that can be added to a fixed price.

  3. 03

    Big items on groupage

Groupage has size and weight limits. Tell us in advance about anything over 6ft long or over 100kg, so it can be planned onto the right run.

What we quote, you pay.

No hidden extras. The price you're given in writing is the price, with tolls, parking and any waiting time the only exceptions.

London to Birmingham: questions

How much does a London to Birmingham removal cost?

A full move is quoted as a fixed price from your inventory. For a part load, our shared London Groupage service starts from £100. Book or request your quote online for the online discount.

Can you move me from Birmingham to London as well?

Yes, both directions are the same service. Our London unit is in E9 and our Birmingham operations are in Coleshill.

How often does London Groupage run?

Twice a week between the Midlands and London. It suits non-urgent loads where your dates can flex.

Do you stop at towns in between?

Yes. Groupage extends along the M1, M6 and M40, taking in places such as Coventry, Rugby, Northampton, Milton Keynes, Banbury, Oxford, Luton and Watford.

Will everything arrive the same day?

A household removal is carried out on the same day unless we agree something different in writing. Groupage is shared, so it goes on the next suitable run instead.
